NatSam Consultoria Ltda, a Brazilian vendor of costing and sales price calculation software for manufacturers, was looking for a solution that would allow it to integrate its applicaiton with other software in several database management systems, on Windows, macOS, and iOS. The list of databases included NexusDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Firebird, and Informix.
Until the year 2010, the company used Direct Oracle Access (AllRound Automations) to develop Oracle applications, but the data access requirements made it to look for a solution that could connect to multiple databases systems. UniDAC was the solution that could provide easy connection to all DBMS the vendor's software needed to connect to. Before adding UniDAC to the technology stack, integrations had to be made by exchanging files on disks.
NatSam Consultoria Ltda has now been using UniDAC for several years. The company has achieved greater agility in development of multiplatform software (Windows, macOS, and iOS) and got the ability to access databases from other ERPs. The company currently develops applications in Embarcadero RAD Studio 10.3.3 Rio, but is starting the migration to RAD Studio 10.4 Sydney.
